From design to production, we utilize cutting-edge digital technologies to help our clients achieve their product development goals. As a CMM Operator, you will be responsible for the measuring of all products (injection molded parts and assemblies) to the customer's specifications. They are also responsible for the calibration of all check fixtures and measuring devices. This position is critical to the mold development and tuning process.

This position offers a steady night shift role.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects manufactured parts to ensure that hole locations, contour measurements, and shapes conform, within prescribed tolerances, to part print specifications.
  • Adhere to customer layout standards and methodologies.
  • Create and edit dimensional inspection programs for the CMM.
  • Create program set-up and execution documentation.
  • Working knowledge of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
  • Conduct miscellaneous surface plate inspections and hand-held gage setup/calibration as required.
  • Investigate instances of mismeasurement; to identify research, analyze, and report measurement problems.
  • Must be able to interact and assist with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel in regards to part conformance and process capability.
  • Assist in training other employees in CMM operation.
  • Understands, implements, and maintains the Company's quality policy through the performance of all duties and responsibilities to insure accuracy.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Documented training or experience with CMM operation (PC-DMIS preferred).
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, math data, reports, instructions and guidelines.
  • Proficient in MSA and SPC (training can be provided).
  • Proficient in using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Proficient in using measuring instruments, i. e. caliper, micrometer, height gages, etc.
  • Proficient in personal computer operation and applications in a MS Windows operating system.
  • Able to work well with others; build and maintain positive employee relationships.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Employee must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous visual attention required.
  • Ability to work steady night shift.
