In support of the mission and vision of SyBridge Technologies, the Set-up Technician is responsible for setting up molds in machine presses for SyBridge Technologies. Reporting to the Senior Processor the Set-up Technician will be required to set-up presses in a timely manner, following the pre-determined schedule to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

    • Set up molds in presses as per schedule and approved methods to achieve process and quality standards efficiently.
    • Use of overhead cranes in a safe manner to transport molds / mold components through the shop and set up molds in presses (weight up to 80,000lbs).
    • Use of the forklift in a safe manner to transport molds / mold components throughout the shop and prepare them for tryouts (weight up to 5,000lbs).
    • Maintain a clean workspace by sweeping, mopping, and ensuring the area is ready for start-up.
    • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions and issues to team members, as well as providing documentation as necessary.
    • Ensure to always be working in a safe manner in regard to yourself and other employees.
    • Other duties as assigned.

        Qualifications:

        • Three (3) years of related experience providing support to set-up department(s).
        • Knowledge and understanding of safety and safety precautions on the job.
        • Crane and Forktruck experience and asset.
        • Ability to use a PC.
        • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
        • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
        • Ability to follow/understand process and quality standards and follow directions.
        • Strong attention to detail, communication and time management skills are required.
