Position Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring customer requirements are met in terms of quality, cost and timing and to identify and communicate to applicable parties any deviations from the customer requirements in terms of quality, cost and timing to insure effective resolution is achieved. Progam manager will use the processes defined by the Sybridge Technologies operating system to conduct their activities. Timely and concise communication with customers, Sybridge Technologies staff and vendors on the status of the job is key to fulfilling this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will be assigned a project on receipt of the Purchase Order (PO).
  • Recommend cost and time savings throughout the project.
  • Create an electronic Job Binder and then coordinate and collect all project related information.
  • If it is a rebuild job, coordinate and document the test and/or evaluation. Additional work required beyond the scope of the original quote will be confirmed with the customer for approval.
  • Coordinate Kick-off meetings and publish meeting minutes.
  • May be involved for input to quote development based on their experience and relationship with the customer.
  • Ensure project materials is ordered in a timely fashion and follow-up on when material is received.
  • Follow-up with Design, Purchasing, Outsourcing, manufacturing, Assembly and Test for project status regarding costing and adherence to the routed schedule.
  • Report project status and metrics for costing and adherence to the PO milestones, routed schedule, to Management at defined intervals, including Production meetings.
  • Issues that affect quality, cost and timing will be communicated to all applicable parties immediately to initiate corrective action.
  • Ensure tests are conducted and reported to the customer requirements.
  • Ensure mold and/ or space parts are prepared to ship to the customer requirements.
  • Communicate with the customer as follows:
  • Clarifications on customer requirements, project status, test results, shipping/ receiving dates, and other project information.
  • Approvals for design changes.
  • Service and warranty issues.
  • Create a Project Close-out Report after the job is shipped and file job information appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an advanced diploma in a Mechanical Engineering Technology related program, post-secondary business program or a journeyperson in the Metal Cutting Trades.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mold making or a related filed.
  • The ability to cross international boarders, including Mexico and the United States of America to conduct business for short periods of time on an as required basis.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English. Communication abilities in other languages such as Spanish and French would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent computer abilities including Microsoft products such as Excel, Work, outlook and OneNote, as well as familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and CAD software.
  • Working knowledge of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and a continuous changing manufacturing environment.
