Position Summary

Develops and directs quality control programs. Ensure that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained. Report to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement. Ensure the promotion and awareness of customer/quality standard requirements throughout the organization. This role is responsible for supervising a team of quality personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Production Manager to coordinate and priorities business needs
  • Scheduling and performance of Internal Quality Audits
  • Maintaining and scheduling the calibration of company owned measuring devices
  • Scheduling and performing corrective action problem solving sessions as required (8D or 5 Why)
  • Developing and updating quality system documentation as required
  • Tracking the quality training and initial gauge calibrations for newly hired personnel as required
  • Updating and maintenance of the Quality Systems Intranet web pages as required
  • Responsible for maintaining all Quality System functions
  • Other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Plant Manager
  • Facilitate corrective actions and determine closer of non-conformances resulting from internal and external audits
  • Responsible to work with other departments and divisions to close out reported non-conformances
  • Facilitate and resolve external non-conformances directed towards Suppliers of Active Industrial Solutions

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience with Quality Systems (especially ISO9001: 2015)
  • Internal Auditor qualified (Lead Auditor preferred)
  • Professional knowledge of CMM, VMM, and other measuring equipment
  • Experience working with high tolerances in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with the plastic injection molding process (preferred)
  • Above Average computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite

  • ISO9001: 2015 Lead Auditor
  • Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Quality Systems Training (ongoing training for current and new employees)

Safety Training Requirements

  • Emergency Evacuation Procedures
  • New Employee Orientation
  • Safety Refresher Training
