In this role, you will shape and support our organization’s strategy in international markets, with a focus on the U.S. and East Asia. Your responsibilities will include advancing business interests, navigating complex regulatory landscapes, and strengthening partnerships. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, playing a key role in ensuring compliance, identifying opportunities, and mitigating risks across global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Strategy and Analysis: Develop strategies to drive growth and competitive positioning in key international markets. Conduct research on market trends, trade policies, and factors influencing business operations and expansion.
- Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with partners, government bodies, and industry associations. Represent the company in negotiations and meetings to strengthen cross-border collaboration and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to international trade laws and policies. Advise leadership on changes in regulations and recommend strategies to address emerging challenges.
- Project Leadership: Oversee projects impacting international operations, coordinating across teams to achieve timely results. Manage project budgets, timelines, and team collaboration to ensure successful outcomes.
- Risk and Impact Management: Identify and assess risks associated with international operations, including supply chain dynamics, trade policies, and global market shifts. Provide actionable recommendations to minimize exposure and maintain business continuity.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports for leadership, highlighting global business performance, risks, and strategic insights. Ensure consistent communication with internal teams regarding global initiatives and developments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Economics, Political Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in international strategy, global relations, or market development.
- Strong understanding of international regulatory frameworks and economic policies.
- Proven project management skills with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in an East Asian language is a plus but not required.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Adaptable to changing geopolitical and market conditions.
- Able to work independently and excel in a fast-paced environment.
