The role:

The Casting Technician will play a crucial role in achieving quality, productivity, and delivery while assuring customer satisfaction. You will identify areas for improvement to eliminate ineffective processes.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for prepping MRI beds from start to finish.
• Laying fiberglass into MRI mold.
• Sanding fiberglass layups multiple times with various grit sandpaper.
• Help manage inventory by identifying low stock so more can be ordered.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs.
• Adhering to customer standards on all tool designs and the internal lean manufacturing guidelines.
• Maintaining safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Developing and implementing process improvements.
• Conduct assessments of the MRI bed and Assembly process to provide focused improvement opportunities to increase production efficiencies, times, increase quality, and increase due date performance.

Qualifications:

• Highschool education or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Auto body repair experience is an asset.
• Tool maker, pattern maker, model maker experience is an asset.
