About GridStrong
GridStrong is the leader in compliance automation for the modern grid. We pair hands-on power systems engineering with software that helps utilities and generators stay on top of their regulatory obligations.
About the Role
We're hiring power systems engineers at every level, from early-career engineers who want to grow quickly to principals ready to shape how the industry approaches automated compliance.
You'll work on EMT and RMS modeling, dynamic performance analysis, and NERC compliance studies. What makes this different is that you'll also help build the tools that make the work faster and let it scale.
What You'll Do
- Develop and review EMT/RMS models for generation and storage resources (PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, TSAT)
- Support or lead PRC, MOD, and related NERC/ISO compliance studies across multiple jurisdictions (ERCOT, SPP, MISO, PJM, and others)
- Contribute to GridStrong's automated Model Quality Testing (MQT) workflows
- Work with our software and operations teams to turn engineering requirements into platform features
- (Senior/Principal) Lead client engagements, mentor junior engineers, and define technical methodology
What You Bring
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus
- Strong model development skills in PSS/E, PSLF, TSAT, and PSCAD, including tuning and benchmarking
- Familiarity with NERC reliability standards and ISO/RTO interconnection processes
Benefits
- Premium medical, vision, and dental plan (full coverage for you and your family)
- Fully remote work environment (US/Canada)
Why GridStrong
We're a technical team moving fast on problems that genuinely matter to the grid. You'll have real ownership, direct access to leadership, and the chance to build things that didn't exist before.
