We are seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer with some Backend experience to join our senior engineering team on a 3 month contract. In this role, you will help develop, test, and deploy improvements to our platform, contributing to new feature sets prioritized by our customers and Product Team. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for a versatile engineer who enjoys working across the stack and collaborating within an agile development environment.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with a senior engineering team to develop, test, and deploy platform features and enhancements.
- Build and enhance backend services and APIs to support product functionality.
- Work with geospatial datasets and data processing pipelines to deliver data-driven insights.
- Contribute to frontend UI development, testing, and optimization.
- Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and technical discussions.
- Assist in the integration and management of container images, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Partner closely with the Product team to align engineering efforts with customer needs and business priorities.
What you will have:
- Proficiency in: JavaScript (React, Vite), Python, and Go.
- Experience building and enhancing backend services and APIs.
- Familiarity with frontend development, UI building, and testing.
- Understanding of geospatial tools and libraries (e.g., Mapbox GL, Leaflet).
- Exposure to working with data platforms such as Snowflake and data processing pipelines.
- Experience working with container technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Multiple years of experience contributing in an agile, collaborative software development environment.
- Experience in climate, environmental risk, or geospatial data platforms is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
