The Role
We’re hiring a mid-level Backend-Focused Fullstack Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is primarily backend-oriented, with occasional frontend contributions when needed.
You’ll work on the APIs and services that power our customer-facing platform and integrations. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to turn product requirements into scalable, maintainable systems.
This role offers clear ownership, technical growth, and exposure to real production challenges in a fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain backend services that power SINAI’s platform
- Design and evolve APIs and data pipelines using Node.js, TypeScript, and Apollo GraphQL
- Contribute to system reliability, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver customer-facing features
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Help monitor and support production systems using observability tools
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in a backend or backend-heavy fullstack role
- Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
- Production experience with GraphQL and/or REST APIs
- Solid understanding of backend fundamentals (data modeling, performance, reliability)
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with evolving requirements
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or similar
- Basic exposure to event-driven systems or message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing to frontend codebases (e.g., React)
- Experience working on SaaS products
- Exposure to AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Interest or experience in data-intensive or climate-related domains
