Position Summary:
SparkCognition is looking for an experienced and innovative IT Manager to join our team who can help lead and drive SparkCognition Corporate IT Initiatives. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for leading the technological wellness and integrity of the company. You will assist with all internal systems functions and ensure systems and technology are available to the company and its employees. As the IT Manager, you are responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's technology solutions and its users. This is a complex position that includes many high-level tasks related to IT, security, and efficiency, in addition to leading a team.
Responsibilities
- Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved promptly with limited disruptions.
- Responsible for maintaining, configuring, and reliably operating computer systems, network servers, and virtualization across Linux, macOS, and Windows.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
- Resolve various technical support requests and troubleshoot relevant performance issues.
- Configure and handle user account provisioning and permissions for various software vendors.
- Assist in developing process automation procedures for system deployment (both cloud and physical assets)
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand needs, define requirements, define options, and prioritize solution delivery activities to meet business objectives.
- Partners with DevOps Engineering and Software Engineering to design and develop technology solutions.
- Assign and coordinate tasks and deliverables to internal team members, partners and vendors, and third-party solutions providers needed to define and deliver new business solutions or changes to existing solutions.
- Maintain a high-performing, scalable, fault-tolerant, secure, and compliant infrastructure.
- Maintain IT Vendor right sizing, renewals, and validity of services.
- Assists with facilitating IT security audits (internal/external) and investigations in line with company compliance requirements.
- Manage the IT Team, including, but not limited to, conducting 1:1s, establishing performance goals for team members, and establishing IT KPIs.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting and problem-solving various Cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience with network design, cloud architecture, and general business technology items.
- Experience with systems and data security.
- Technical & business requirement analysis and strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong project management skills with good documentation discipline.
- Either directly managed or was the Technical Lead of an IT team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience supporting various technologies.
- Proven experience supporting infrastructure, hardware, network, SaaS/IaaS/PaaS cloud solutions, and related infrastructure operations.
- Must be a facilitator and knowledge seeker and have excellent communication skills.
