What’s the role
As part of Shell QGC's largest and most complex asset, the Production Engineer (PE) will be responsible for the safe delivery of production for their respective region as well as being a technical mentor to fellow PEs and a focal point for all production engineering technical queries. As an area owner for over 300 wells, and associated gathering, the incumbent will contribute to the short-term production and surveillance activities in accordance with Shell standards and guidelines.
This position is a member of a dedicated, multidisciplinary WRFM (Wells Reservoir and Facilities Management) team situated within an integrated collaborative working environment focused on optimizing production and cost both in the short and medium term across the Surat Basin.
What you’ll be doing
Role responsibilities include:
Daily production monitoring and analysis of wells and gathering system.
Daily support to field operations as and when required acting as an interface between office and Field Operations.
Accountable for FBHP optimisation and tracking.
Update and monitor well production trends and discuss/implement daily remedial actions with optimisation Lead, Production technology, Engineering and Field Teams.
Investigate Downhole Failures and propose new completion design.
Proactively develop and maintain close working relationships to collaborate across QGC.
Provide technical support during the implementation and ongoing surveillance of technology trials.
Ensure all HSSE risk assessments and operational processes are properly and rigorously used.
Lead by example with a deep strong commitment to our values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.
Apply our standards with rigor and intervene when they are compromised.
What you bring
We are keen to speak to professionals with the following:
Engineering degree in Petroleum, Process, Chemical, Mechanical.
CSG industry experience is an advantage.
Demonstrated coaching and influencing ability.
High commitment to safety and environment.
Exhibits good communication skills & willingness to learn quickly.
Capable integrator, experienced with delivering in a collaborative team environment.
Demonstrated commitment to D&I.
